Beach Volleyball needs your help to grow in the United States.
Beach volleyball is the number 1 watched sport at the summer Olympics and it would be a highly watched sport other than once every 4 years if it were televised. The problem is that big networks like ESPN refuse to televise this sport. Maybe their research department has never realized how many people would watch beach volleyball if it were on TV or maybe they think there is no demand for it. If beach volleyball could start by simply getting into some of the top 10 plays of ESPN it might stand a chance of getting picked up. Rosies Manhattan line hit or his more recent backwards attack against Phil should have made the highlight reel over at ESPN but they didn’t. That is where you can do your part and email, call, facebook or tweet to ESPN and tell them you want to see some beach volleyball on their program. If enough beach volleyball fans start to contact them we might see the sport start to grow.
